COVER STORY: Only a Witch Can Fly
October 19th, 2009

Halloween is almost here….and Only a Witch Can Fly written by Alison McGhee and illustrated by Taeeun Yoo looks intriguing to me! Recommended for ages 4-8, I have it on good authority from two special young ladies ”You will love this book, Miss Carol!” I in turn highly recommend you take a look at Yoo’s blog in particular.
Happy reading!
Carol
Cover Story is a feature every Monday on Rasco From RIF where I share with you the “face” of a book that has caught my eye or that readers have submitted. Cover Story does not discuss the content of the book. I hope you will share your favorite “cover story” with me now and then!

At the Meet the Author session of KidLitCon, I discovered Too Purpley by Jean Reidy. It’s not just the lavender that grabbed me … it’s the pig-tails, too.

Ah, thanks, Terry! I have a sister and a brother-in-law, both of whom love purple and both of whom have young granddaughters with whom they can share this one…and the girls have pigtails. Perfect 2010 gifts!

Terry, purple is my favorite color so of course I had to check out your recommendation. Too cute! Thanks for sharing with us.
